Ocean meditation

~ ocean imagery meditation for letting go of the past~ 


        Sitting or laying down in a comfortable quiet environment, begin by taking a slow deep breathe in through the nose, hold 5 seconds, and let it out slowly. allow your eyes to shut if you wish. 
allow yourself to simply relax, and as you continue to breathe at your own pace, see yourself step into a scene of your favorite beach. your feeling calm and centered. as your walking on the soft inviting sand, you feel a slight breeze pass you by. step by step,The sandy beautiful path takes you to the blue ocean waters edge. relax, you are safe. Here, you find a small basket.picking it up you decide to mentally place the past and the illusion of problems in it, gently place it in the water, and allow the basket to drift away into the ocean watching it fade, smile, breathe.... you are free.
when you feel ready, open your eyes.
return to this scene whenever your soul needs it.
